A bowl of warm Dried Fish Maw with Milk is a perfect full stop for dinner
First we are introducing how to get dried fish maw prepared. Very easy. It begins with soaking it overnight
In the next morning it looks like this which is not very different from before
Prepare a pot of water with slices of ginger. When it comes to boil, add some Shaoxine wine
Can be generous when adding ginger which brings pleasant flavour to the dessert
Dried Fish Maw in. Medium heat on for 3 mins with lid closed. Then let it cool down completely
After switching off gas we went out for work. When we came back in the evenly the fish maw was good for stewing
Cut the fish maw into pieces
Not cutting it too small as it will diminish upon stewing
Add about 1L of milk together with some rock sugar, some red dates and wolfberry
Add around 300ml of water
Put the pot into steamer. Stew it for 3 hours at 100°C. That’s it!
We had a Japanese yakiniku meal before having the dessert
